What a Loaf!

Moving along, this recipe for meat loaf is by far the best I've ever tasted!  I served it with cheesy hashbrown casserole...delicious!
________________________________________________________________

Meat Loaf

1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 egg
1 onion, chopped
1 c. milk
1 c. cracker crumbs (I use saltines.)
1 t. salt
1/4 t. pepper
1/2 t. garlic powder

1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. prepared mustard
2/3 c. ketchup
*Cut this in half if you like your meatloaf a little less saucy.

Preheat oven to 350.  Combine beef, egg, onion, milk, cracker crumbs, and spices, and mix well with your hands.  Form into a loaf and place in a lightly-greased 9 X 13" casserole dish.  (This works better than cramming the stuff into a loaf pan, since the meat is able to cook more thoroughly.)

In a separate bowl, combine sugar, mustard, and ketchup.  Pour over meatloaf.  Bake for 1 hour.
